A green screen shows while playing MKV files. It correctly detects Twonkymedia, the QNAP DLNA Server, and XBMC on my NAS, and I'm able to play my music from anywhere (via OpenVPN running on the NAS). I simply access my NAS via OpenVPN (installed on both the NAS and on the Tablet), so I can stream via DLNA, even when I'm at a Public Wi-Fi Hotspot: There are plenty of DLNA Apps in the Google Play Store, I personally use " MediaHouse" which happens to be a Free App.
I even use the DLNA features of XBMC on the NAS, in order to get " remote" access on my Android tablet. I leave all my Multimedia files on the NAS, but access them from XBMC on all my devices. I have simply installed XBMC on all the PC's in the house (including both Linux and Windows), and on all my Android devices. Since getting a NAS that supports XBMC I hardly use any of the " Stations" much anymore. and the same videos preview also appearring pixilated as they do when actually played - other than when played with VLC - now within Google Chrome Browser! Many Thanks Again! It seems strange when not all our videos have this problem!?! Sorry I can't help much here. Marrach wrote:Got it! Thanks Again Mate, You're a Star!! Patrick I wonder do you know why we have this issue with several Video Station videos thumbs appearing pixilated 'for want of a better description'!. ( Microsoft hasn't released a Linux version of Internet Explorer yet, so I can't help you with that one) I also have configured Firefox, and Chrome to also load VLC Player for all my Video files. VLC Player loads just fine here in my Iceweasel Web Browser installed on my Kali 1.06 Linux laptop here. This is a Web Browser issue rather than a NAS issue. Configure the settings in your undisclosed Web Browser to load VLC Player as your " default" Video Player for all your Video mime types defined within your unidentified Web Browser on your unidentified Operating System. or play them with 'Media Viewer' through 'File Station' Does anyone know how to make VLC Player the default video player within Video Station & also within File Station pleeeeease? Thanks in anticipation! Sure. yesterday we found that we could play these videos without this pixilating issue so long as we don't play them 'On the fly' or through Video Station itself!.
